The Ouroboros Serpent

"Hide your wives and your children, for the ancient serpent has awoken and is coming to kill y'all!" Sebastian stood up on the table and waved his hand dramatically. Everyone laughed. "Shut up!" Emilia shouted. Everyone became silent. "This is no joke!" Sebastian dropped his arms at his side. "You're not telling me that you seriously believe this shit, are you?" Sebastian asked. The whole class laughed again, and Emilia shrugged and shrunk down in her chair. Sebastian was a clown who thought that everything was a joke. Emilia couldn't stand him. “That is pathetic, Emilia. There is no such thing as giant snakes or gods,” Sebastian mocked.

All her life, Emilia had been told bedtime stories about the gods. She never believed them, but her parents did. Now, it seems as though they were coming to life as Emilia and her friends fight to stop the world from ending.
