Skye Dewy, eighteen and aching, learns this the hard way when her girlfriend Irene’s love curdles into something colder, especially after April – Irene’s sharp-tongued little sister – arrives and tilts their already precarious dynamic into outright neglect.
To complicate everything further, Skye is developing feelings for her boss at the Preschool where she works. Mrs. Patterson – Irene and April’s aunt – becomes an unexpected source of comfort and discipline in Skye's life.
