Sandstorm Riders

Fusion Readers are a brand new addition to the Maverick Reading Scheme. They combine traditional text on one page and comic book panels on the other to seamlessly combine these two mediums together. Fusion Readers are perfect for both able and struggling readers on their first steps into chapter books. Deep in the desert, powerful crystals can be found inside sand twisters. Tabitha’s community power their homes and machines with these gems, and ride sand birds to get close to the strong sandstorms. Tabitha dreams of becoming a Sandstorm Rider, but none of the sand birds accept her. She resolves to tame a wild one, except she might find something much more fearsome. .
