Este libro ofrece un puñado de refranes españoles con sus correspondientes daneses. Contiene una serie de trabajos sobre la estructura del refrán en ambas lenguas. Va dirigido en especial a los hispanistas y escandinavistas. Por tanto, es un libro dirigido a los traductores, profesores, investigadores, estudiantes y estudiosos de ambas lenguas y, en general, a los que se ocupan tanto del español como de las lenguas escandinavas: a todos aquellos que tengan vocación de aprendiz.

This book deals with proverbs in two different languages: Spanish and Danish. A thorough research into the origins of these proverbs is undertaken and an analysis is made of a large quantity of analogue proverbs. No other book has hitherto addressed this issue and the theme must be seen in a wider context as part of a larger project with the object of creating a body of analogue proverbs in other countries as well.

Refranes Españoles has its main target group among translators, lecturers and students, especially those with a main interest in Scandinavian and Hispanic languages.
