Niklas Luhmann and organization studies

Niklas Luhmann (1927-1998) was one of the most innovative social scientists of our time. He suggested a completely new way of thinking about the social, which has been discussed in many different fields of research, from philosophy to business administration. Based on his general social theory, he develops a unique organization theory that challenges existing perceptions of organizations. This volume intends to stimulate further research by providing new applications of his theory to questions for organization and management.
