Law and Marriage in Medieval & Early Modern Times

I denne engelsksprogede antologi præsenteres diskussionsemner og konklusioner fremlagt på den 8. Carlsberg Academy konference i 2011, der samlede de fremmeste forskere inden for middelalderemner. Bogen bidrager til en akademisk diskussion af ægteskabet i middelalderen - ikke blot ud fra en juridisk vinkel, men også ud fra teologiske og historiske perspektiver. Det indebærer bl.a. bidrag om ægteskabet som koncept og institution, testamenter, enkers mulighed for at fortsætte virksomheder, flerkoneri og diverse såkaldte ægteskabsstrategier.
