It is the perfect book for an initial survey of the entire range, before you choose your favourite region to explore in depth.There are well over 2000km (1250miles) of drives and 400km (250 miles) of walks in this guide, the latter being the equivalent of a coast to coast traverse - one of the 'classics' for all serious hikers. But you don't have to be an expert to enjoy walking in the Pyrenees with this guide. None of the hikes requires special skills (under summer conditions) and, if you are not very fit, simply turn back when you feel like it (although there are also specific short walk suggestions with most of the itineraries).
