Meet 17 girls from five developing countries who have become mothers while still children. Their captivating stories provide a unique insight into their dreams, challenges and great strength. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary has written the introduction. In it, she shares her keen interest in the lives of women around the world. As patron of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, Her Royal Highness is an advocate for the right to decide whether and when to have children; for the right of women to give birth without risking life and health, and for the right of young people to be enabled to fulfil their potential.   The beautiful photos of the child mothers are by award winning photographer Pieter ten Hoopen. In the #childmothers photos he has taken a point of departure in the traditional family photo and portrays the girls with great respect.
