Controversies in Spine Surgery, Volume 1

This clinical series examines some of the controversies surrounding the myriad approaches used in spine surgery. Developments in implant technology, biologic grafting materials, and minimal access techniques have resulted in an exciting—but sometimes overwhelming—array of options for the management of spinal disorders.Each volume in this new series will focus on 8 to 10 clinical problems, ranging from the most common to the most complex, and will present the treatment strategies of choice of the world’s leading orthopaedic and neurologic spine surgeons.
